HEADLINE™ SEOUL OPENS AT TANGS SINGAPORE

SINGAPORE, 14 JUNE, 2013 - On 1 July , 2013, HEADLINE™ SEOUL (HLS), the premier Asian fast-fashion label, will open an 810 sq ft shop-in-shop space on the ground floor of TANGS Vivocity followed by another 427 sq ft location on the second level of TANGS Orchard on 2 July, 2013. They are the HLS brand's second and third retail outlets in Singapore respectively, after the opening of its first flagship store at #B2-09/10 Wheelock Place in February 2013.

With Korean fashion making its debut at TANGS, it marks the completion of the power shift in the fashion world from West to East. Back in the 1980s, it was also TANGS that introduced accessible, international lifestyle retailing concepts to the East, and showcased the first generation of rising Asian designer labels, many of them now household names throughout the region.

To differentiate between the two TANGS stores, HLS will stock smart-casual and weekend wear at TANGS Vivocity; TANGS Orchard, a Singapore shopping destination, will showcase HLS’s statement looks and key executive fashions.

HLS is an Asian-inspired, runway-fresh contemporary women's fashion label that is inspired by international trends but filtered through the pulse of Gangnam chic. It dovetails seasonal trends into six-weekly collections, buffered by mini "pop" releases of irresistible "buy-me-now” pieces that are updated every fortnight.

To keep its range of designs dynamic, HLS offers three major style groupings: CLEAN CLASSICS, GIRLY CHIC and TREND-LED which enable timeless elegance, flirty feminine fads and key catwalk elements available with every collection, all at fiercely friendly retail price points ranging between SGD $29 to $149.

HEADLINE™ SEOUL Collaborations

To commemorate HLS’ opening at TANGS in Singapore, HLS will introduce the first of its accessory collaborations with emerging Asian designers:

#1: HEADLINE™ SEOUL x MONDAY EDITION

One of the most exciting accessory brands from South Korea, MONDAY EDITION was founded by two sisters, Sara Kim and Sun Young Kim. Fans of the brand include Girls Generation, Boa, and Japanese actress Mizuhara Kiko (Norwegian Wood, 2010), amongst others.

In the collaboration, the collection retains Monday Edition’s signature styles injected with spunk and wit. From their thematic collection “Pearl & Helvetica”, this signature is translated into a necklace and bracelet that has the HEADLINE™ SEOUL name engraved in Helvetica on pearls. Neon tassels sit jauntily alongside pearls in polished silver rings and hoop bangles. From their main-line’s latest collection ‘Catch a Falling Star’, the HLS version features tiny cookie cutter stars in a hoop necklace, and Star shaped hardware on metal chain bracelets and necklaces.

HEADLINE™ SEOUL x MONDAY EDITION collection will launch exclusively at TANGS Orchard, Singapore – the first store world-wide to retail this. The collection will be available in other HLS stores throughout Asia subsequently.
