Fun fact 2: Sundown Festival 2010 was the first ticketed special event to be held in Resorts World™ Sentosa Universal Studios Singapore®.
Held in New York Street of Universal Studios Singapore®, concert goers were treated to the spirit and energy of New York, where classic landmarks of New York City made this the most befitting backdrop for this hip, happening and happy event, complete with street-styled entertainment.
Fun fact 3: Only the freshest and coolest artistes were brought in for Sundown Festival 2010.
Sundown Festival 2010 was opened in style by 20 Tenko drummers (famed Japanese Taiko drummers) followed by popular J-rock and K-pop groups such as SuG, LM.C, F.Cuz and After School. The concert also showcased the dynamics of adrenaline-filled Asian music and styled fashion choreography, choreographed by Blackmarket and mind blowing 3D visual effects that lasted for more than 150 minutes non-stop.
Fun fact 4: Artistes were selected based on the relevance to the thematic platform and messaging for Sundown Festival 2010.
With worldwide TV coverage from AXN & ANIMAX, Sundown Festival 2010 hoped to showcase to the world a holistic and innovative entertainment scene of Asia in style. Also, Sundown Festival 2010 brought about a brand new festival experience where audiences were treated to a lively, fashionable street party concept.
Fun fact 5: Pre-festival events included a fan meeting with the stars of the festival and a charity auction.
Prior to the main concert, fans were treated to a fan meeting where they posed with their favourite artistes for some photo opportunity. There was also a charity auction of previously owned items of various artistes, where all proceeds went to World Vision Foundation.
Fun fact 6: 31st July 2010, the day that Sundown Festival 2010 was held was also Lizzy’s (from After School) birthday.
In between performances, Lizzy, the birthday girl was treated to a mini celebration on stage with a cake. Fans and audience alike sang a birthday song to her where she thanked them profusely after she blew out the candles.
